So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Isn't discovering someone's love language to love them entirely different?
I like it when people give me a gift, but you like it when people affirm you.
So when I love you by giving you a gift, is this not loving you well?
It's how I would want others to love me.
Aren't I fulfilling the Golden Rule?
The fallacy of the love languages is that some people want to be loved in this way and others in that way.
It is a very self-centered approach that conveys the message, "Love me!"
The truth is that we all want to be loved fully with all of the love languages (although in different degrees).
We all want to be touched, served, affirmed, and receive gifts and quality time from others.
Instead of focusing on loving people in one of these areas, let's debunk the whole test and love everyone with all of them.
Love in every way.
Fulfill the Golden Rule.
